Just curious what I might run in my truck. I've never had it to the track, and there is a No E.T. grudge event going on this weekend. I'd like to see how I stack up, but most of these guys want to do it for money, so I'm trying to pick and choose my races.

Its an ec/sb, not sure on the weight, but all stock (bumpers, hitch, etc.) on 265's. The truck dyno'd at 600/11xx with the 4094 on the big tune. I plan on clamping the springs and lowering the torsion bars, obviously.
Whatcha guys think, mid 12's?

I ran 12.3's consistently... a lot depends on elevation, and how well your truck hooks...

I would have to guess at mid 12's @ 109 , and once you get it launching a bit better it should go low like paint said 12.2-12.3 as long as she isnt too heavy and that 600 hp dyno run is acurate .

If your 600hp run was at Danville his dyno is known to read a little high - nothing ridiculous but a little higher than most others. Depending on your weight and launch you could be anywhere from 12.2 to 13s and should trap 107-109

Good deal- thanks for the replies! Elevation here is about 700 feet above sea level, give or take. I was hoping to see low 12's.....I guess I'll find out soon enough. :)

I'll gut the whole truck and shoot for 11.99! :D

I tried that but it alluded me... I got to 6740lbs and could only best a 12.32. Slicks will help a bunch but an 11 is going to be very hard to get. I wish you luck in your quest however.

That's usually how it goes, but I guess if I wanna say that I ran an 11.xx, I need to add dtwin cp3s and rods.

Ok, made it back without blowing it up, but things did not go as planned. It was a mad house, so I was only able to get two runs in, and I had zero time to make any changes. Add to it the fact that I was unable to drop the t-bars, or remove ANY weight. I ran in complete daily driver mode, except for clamping the rear springs. It was hard to tell, since I have never been down the track, but I am pretty sure that I had quite a bit of wheelspin. I give you guys that go to the track often and run fast times credit- it's much more stressful and complicated than it looks! haha
First run was a 13.24

My second run: (R.T. was not important, as I took my time looking for a decent launch rpm)
60ft- 2.0658 (horrible, but I'll get there.....I hope)
1/8- 8.2978/86.22mph
1000 ft.- 10.7620/98.87mph
1/4- 12.8498/107.92mph

Any tips/recommendations? I kow I can easily drop a bunch of weight with the spare, tailgate, hitch, and subwoofer box.

A better 60' will help you out more then gutting the truck! Work on getting it to hook, then start playing with weight reduction. It will save the headache of re installing everything.

I like that idea. :D I know that there is huge room for improvement on the 60ft. Hopefully, I can make it out this weekend- I'm addicted now!

Haha, i have the opposite problem. I can get a 1.9 60' on my 37's...but some here cut 1.6xx times. :baby:

You have the mph for 12.4s or even 12.3s on a good pass. Like Russ said work on your 60' before you start stripping weight. Drop the torsion bars, get your tire pressures right, and figure out the best RPM and boost to launch your truck at. You have and easy .3-.4 to take off your ET just off the line.
