What a gorgeous memorial day it was in CT.

Today was a hellova day...
Best buddie got a nice 86 Cobalt 17' w/ 4.3L Merc with all kinds a goodies for $4K, took it out to the lake, choppy but good fun, stopped a Freddy's for a Steakburger on the way home, went to unhook the boat and the hitch stuck. So i jumped on the bumber with my right foot and it came un hooked and rolled forward hard and fast and crushed my ankel with the hitch between the bumper, WHOLLY HELL that HURT!!! I don't think it's broke, swollen bad but i can stand on it and hobble. As icing on the cake, last night in the shop using the 1/4 sledge hammer, handle snapped and the head flew of and broke my toe on the other foot, WTF! lucky huh! I need a BIG juicy steak and girl an a bunch of beer, tomorrow work is gonna be hell

Worked like hell, but ate good, had sring rolls and shrimp at lunch then the wife cooked out this afternoon, burgers, dogs, coleslaw, baked beans and blackberry clobber with ice cream. Not bad

Usual eats and booze for BBQ - all starting with happy hour at the WellFleet Beachcomber outside bar with all the apps and seafood you could want. :alcoholic:

Great weather, good food and friends - can't ask for anything more!! (Well I could, but....) lol

My wife likes to focus on the recession, so I'm doing my part to get us there. :rofl: j/k Had to have some fun since we didn't make the run to Rolling Thunder this year.

As a True Blue Aussie, let me share something with you.......

We don't really throw shrimp on the Barbie - we call 'em Prawns.

As for what we ate yesterday - it was my final day at work yesterday (I've worked for Fosters for the last 8 years; only part time since having kids and the inception of EFILive) so Ross took the kids and I out to a Greek Resturant.

Pita bread and dips
Saganaki (Grilled/fried Greek style goats cheese)
Marinated Chicken
Greek style lamb
Greek salad

Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend , we are counting down to our next long weekend - 2 weeks to go.
