It seems most places are on backorder for that muffler. Might be able to snag one. I debated on installing one since I mostly cruise in the truck with the family any more

I did a Donaldson 40” oem muffler. It was designed specifically for the governments non emissions Duramax trucks they get. Donaldson will not tell you this muffler exists, you have to dig thru their parts list. If you want the part number I can find it for you. With this muffler my lml was as quiet as stock.

40in would be a lot better than the 50in I usually see listed for Donaldson pieces. Might have to stroll through the catalog to see if anything even shorter is available

Well just got an email from speedway where I ordered the muffler from that Holley has discontinued that muffler...

Thank you for your order with Speedway Motors. My name is Holli; I am part of the Customer Experience Support Team.

Your order contained a factory shipped item, part # 378150201, that was to be shipping directly from Holley. We have been monitoring the status of this part closely and recently received information from Holley that this item has been discontinued. We are very sorry for this and we are processing you a refund. We appreciate your patience and encourage you to give us a call at 800-979-0122 or reply to this email if you have any questions or concerns.

Looks like I need to find something else.

Tuesday night the MBRP quiet time muffler showed up and I had to get it installed...

Towed with it yesterday and it was a little quieter than the aeroturbine muffler.
It still drones but it's better.
We'll see how it does not towing.

Episode #2743

I didn't think the day would come where I'd be selling the dually. I knew in reality it would eventually happen but when I had to decide between it or the LML I picked up it was a tough one.

I bought it back in 2009 and did/learned so much from it. It was my first diesel and many hours were spent on it. So many memories of my oldest sitting on the top side creeper with me while I worked on it. All the moves with it for work. Not to mention we drove off in it on our wedding night.
Obviously too it got me sucked into the online diesel forums where I meet some amazing people, except James, Jon, Corbin, Sean, Brian, etc. you guys are all assholes...

But the time has come and I chose to upgrade...
I've not had many regrets really other than the memories we had in it through the years.

Now I can make memories with my boys on this new to me pickup. Lets face it, i can't leave anything alone...

It was sad and fun to take one last ride in it before the new owner drove away with it.
Life must go on and like I told my oldest, it's just a pickup and the memories are what counts.

Episode #1234

Not long after getting the LML I ordered a fleece powerflo in tank lift pump and exergy metering valve.

I thought it was much easier to remove the bed than drop the tank so that's the route I went.
The lift pump install was super easy, the only thing I changed from the instructions was I redid the electrical plug so I didn't have to deal with the pig tail. Hooking up to the battery and fuse was straightforward with no issues.
Installing that new meter valve was the biggest issue and it wasn't all that bad either.

I did notice a very slight increase in throttle response but very little.

In short, after doing this in tank lift pump I would never do a standard external lift pump again. Now, I do know sometimes there are circumstances where you don't have another option but if you do this was route slick...
