LLY: What are complete engines worth?

I have been shopping for a complete LLY for my C10. The only place i have been finding any is on ebay and there running 5-6000 dollars without a core. I have been looking at getting a doner truck and you can for that money, but I am looking at running it on the LB7 harness I have and running a different transmission, so I would end up with a bunch of parts that i would have to sell. Any suggestions?

I have an 05 LLY that was under 80k miles that has been sitting for a few years. I would take $3800 for it if that helps. Would probably recommend looking it over inside before use.
