I am looking to change my exhaust housing due to my power band going to be lower then I first thought.I have a .91 AR housing and just want to drop size to get better spooling.:thumb:
If anyone has one let me know or were to get one.

If there is a different size some one would recommend let me know. Power will be at or under 500 hp for most of the time, and maybe a max effort tune of 600. I think I have found a .81 housing, but not sure if it will work on my turbo.

I was talking to a tuner today, and was recommend to go to a smaller exhaust housing for the power band I will be running. This was to help better spooling times, and better MPG's. Mark recommend the open .88 housing, is there a better option or should I stay with the current housing.

Call forced inductions. They list a .88 housing but it doesn't say if it is divided or not. They might be able to machine a custom housing for you if that's the case.

Many people say a billet wheel will help a lot. Mine seems to spool pretty damn fast. But I think it depends on the convertor also.

Steve will this help.......right now under normal driving, the turbo only runs between 2-5 psi. I am not upset with how it is operating, but if it will help my mileage and give more fun, I will spend a little bit of money and to time to get this.:joker:

I have thought of doing a billet wheel, but right now it running on stock tuning it spool fine, a little slow, I was hoping that tuning would fix it. But if the better fix is to go with a small housing, then I will bypass the band-aid fix.

The less boost you run at normal driving the better mpg you will get. With my s472 i cruise at .5-1psi

Lighter billet wheels front and back will make a small difference. Tuning can make a big difference in hard throttle spool from low psi.

Have you hooked up a drive pressure gauge? If the drive is decent as is, the smaller housing may be a viable option if it is divided.

Your problem rest in the tuning. It takes a good bit of fuel to drive the charger. Tune it properly and you will be happy. I have several that I tune with a similar setup and all are happy.
