Id think that'll be the first of many as they experiment.

yep!

Anyone remember the days back before EFILive? Guys were still making 500rwhp...maybe my memory is bad but it just seems like to me that not as many people were blowing stuff up.

we are asking/tuning these trucks' stock parts to put out hp and tq that are equivalent to a heavy duty diesel with twice the displacement and designed for more than twice the flow or air fuel exhaust etc. when we keep stuffing 10lbs of s**t into a 5lbs back of course we are gonna be ripping bags. are there preventative measures to make the motors take the abuse longer, of course. but in the end our trucks will never be as reliable as a motor specifically designed to make that kind of power

I've seen where there have been a handfull of 6.4's cracking pistons tuned and a few stock ones. Seems all three brands have in a way simular issues.

I have a feeling there are gonna be some reallll nasty common rails running around once people figure out the tuning for the cummins engine. All the brands have their pros and cons, just gotta figure what platform is best for your application

I think were we are at now for 500 hp is safer then before we had efi live. Now we know what is going on and not just stacking things and hoping for the best like the Cummins guys. Once they figure out EFI Live I'm sure there will be some crazy dodges out there and might even knock off the 12V from is pedistal they all have it on.
