Went to get my return rates checked today, before they actually started the guy went ahead and ramped up the fuel (sounded baddass) anyways he commanded 180kpa maybe 190 idk but it stayed right up with it. That and my balance rates were fine, so he thought getting the return rates tested may be a waste of my money... I agreed, and he also suggested that my problem may be a broken fuel pickup in the tank.

So before I have them drop the tank, I have 1 question. If my fuel pickup was infact the problem, I should see zero liftpump pressure at WOT correct?
Or is there anyway to test anything like a faulty pickup

just to clarify you are talking about the Fuel Sending Unit right? You should be able to drop the tank easily...

No, He said theyve had 2 or 3 trucks come in where the pick up actually breaks off or something like that. Said it wont show up with a tech2 because if this is the case it will only have trouble getting fuel under load.

Edit: maybe I don't think so paint. Could be wrong

Well my lift pump pressure is 14-15 at idle, and 7-8 at WOT on run I just made hmmm. Guess I need to get back to the stealer and actually test y return rates.
Anybody know if they can test a the cp3?

The truck as alot of power up until half throttle, full throttle falls on its face. The highest I've seen commanded is 29k rail pressure. Lowest I've noticed is 20k to 21k when asking for 26k.
Throws p0087 (low rail pressure) when I get off the throttle at high speeds.
The truck is shimmed and bottle test showed the FPRV is not popping open.

idk, I do know that max boost in 6th gear barely hits 27. Ill have to log a run, I dont have any logs from my truck and never have tried. I've asked before without response, what pids should I select to try and track down the problem?

I don't want to post the log though I think it will give away the tune, is that correct otherwise I will publicly post it?.

I you get a log just send it to dustin he should be able to sort it out. When I log i normally just use the duramax imperial PID selection, and then I would also select maf flow rate

What kind of pulse width are you running?

Oh, the MAF sensor PID is Air Flow Rate From Mass Air Flow Sensor, SAE.MAF, but I'm not really sure what that will tell you.

I know lol but Mr. Johnson suggested I log MAF flow. I just didn't know what it was called

who the hell is Mr. Johnson? i just told you what you need to do... if you do what i said you will see the first selected PID in that PID file is Air Flow Rate From Mass Air Flow Sensor

Sorry Im not sure. I get this messege when I try to open the DSP tune to check....
This version of the EFILive Tuning Tool has not been
configured to display this PCM's operating system.

This may occur if...
your PCM has been updated by a GM dealer
to fix a software problem in the PCM.
OR
you are attempting to load an EFILive custom PCM
program without installing the matching *.cal file.
OR
you are attempting to load a non-EFILive custom PCM program.

Please save this calibration's *.tun file
and email a copy of it to: [email protected]
so that we can add support for it.

so I cant open it up to see. Bullfrogjohnson is Mr. Jonhson
