Finally got to the track, had fun but..

Well, im glad after my lift and sleeves installed the front end stayed together!

I only had 3 runs, all mild 4x4 launches. Truck at FULL street weight( spare tire, tail gate, 295-70-17 tires not aired down ,me at 310 LBS)

All runs about 1/8 mile i piopped the damn 0087 codes:mad::mad::mad:

Managed a 13.8 at 101 with a soft 1700 rpm launch and terrible 2.1 60ft

Gotta get this 0087 figured out.

Truck just fell on its face after popping the code.

Also man it gets busy trying to stage, build boost and watch the tree when your brakes dont want to hold ya.

Heres a run down on my 0087 issue

I have 3 shims in my FPRV, cranked as tight as i could get it.

It passed the bottle test .

Fuel filter is 2 motnts old/1500 miles . Lift pumps seem to be working fine.

Any ideas appreciated!

Want to get in the 12's!!!!!

But racing is fun though!

Nice runs, your mph is the same as mine and I'm running 13.1's.

Cool to know;)

Yep Kat , its all about having fun!! Got to hang out with some fellow Dmaxes and a DD's member :cool2:

Yep, its too much fun Jeff!

My dad and Bro both have Drag cars ( 55 chevy glass /tube chassis car and a 69 RS camaro) I just need practice in this big truck and the 0087 figd out.

Leaving off the transbrake in my dads 55 is too easy!!

Not bad at all for the first time out and a lifted truck. You'll get a 12 second pass out of it when you get you fuel issues fixed and your 60ft's down. Congrats.

The ony times I got the nasty code was with a 1/4 tank of fuel... Some reason my truck doesnt like it that low. I put 1/2 tank and, clred the code and couldnt get it to come back on...
Had only 1500-2000 miles on my filter and the first time I put McRats tune in and I threw the nasty code. First time to throw some smoke also, so I changed the filter and havent had the code since and had several WOT now.

I personally think its the quality of fuel sometimes at the gas stations and their underground tanks...Just havta change the filter sooner than at other times.
but im still learnin
