Well the truck started acting real funny the other nite, limped out of nowhere for the first time since ive had it rebuilt. i wasnt beating on it at all, just limped and threw a code p0700. since then ive tried 2 NSBU that were used and were "they might work" status. tried a brand new one last nite and still no go. it will work right away and shift hunky dorey but once you let it sit and ide]le for enough time to have a beer, u go out to put her in reverse and nothing, like its neutral, drive is the same thing. weird thing was it didnt throw a code last nite, just shut her off and back on and it drove just like normal to the garage.....any thoughts? bad wiring or rubbed thru somewhere?

i dont think its anything wrong with the trans itself internally bc when i first take it out, it shifts just like normal and perfect, but when it starts acting goofy, it revs like hell and SLAMS into gear, like neck snapping.

internals since rebuild are now ATS stage 3 convertor, ats pump kit, alto powerpack clutches, transgo, deep pan/filter, hot lock up valve. i think thats it :) and i run a ppe hot +2 e.t.

Does not sound promissing with the P0776 and P0734. I would cut the spin on filter open and see what's in it as far ar possible burned clutches. Check sump filter and make sure it didn't fall out, then pull pressure switch manifold and see if an o ring is out of place. if you see clutch material in pan or spin on, yank the trans.

FWIW, my truck threw a P0776 just about a month ago. My fluid was DARK, with some clutch material in it. turns out my damage wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but to paraphrase Mike, "P0776 usually means something bad". BTW, it still shifted perfectly after the P0776.

will do mike, moss and phil are my lil helpers with this thing so ill talk to them tonite about it too, ive been pretty religious about changing my spin on, trans has prolly like 8-9K on it since the rebuild, but i dont understand why it would shift completely normal and not slip when i first change the switch, we will see what i come up with tonite.

havent had time to play with her yet, the new job has me pulling some nice hours  but conna start with the spin on and cut it open tmrw, i know you cant tell anthing w/o me checking yet, but are your thoughts just cooked clutches mike? if she has to come back out, im thinkin ats clutches and sending in the 3 star to get built to a 5 star....other than that what else can be done to her? keep in mind im still on a stock turbo and the airdog hasnt gone on yet....
