I called south bend to get a price on getting my clutch rebuilt and upgraded. Had a standard 650 hp dual disc, shifted amazing still stock pedal feel. Loved it, then I glazed it over. He recommended lightening my discs to prevent line creep, which has caused me to red light once and deep stage once. He also said lighter discs would shift faster, which I never had a problem with shifting very fast with the old discs at all. I'm worried because he recommended a half weighted pressure plate and a heavier plate load. I'm worried the half weighted pressure plate will cause a heavy pedal at the rpms I shift at causing a slower shift? But I'm not real sure as I've never messed with a clutch like this so if anyone has an opinion on this. Or experience I'd love to hear it. Price on upgrade was 900. But at the same time I'm sure he wouldn't have recommended it if it wouldn't work for my application.said the new setup would hold over 800 hp

They engage more plate load centrifugally. 2 ppl I know say they push the pedal off the floor almost at 4500. I don't know how that would effect shifting since I doubt you run it that high. Mine is weighted but I have no problems with it pushing the pedal off the ground... Idk why there's does that, it should not happen.

I talked to Greg at sbc. He said it's half weighted so it won't be as heavy as a full weighted clutch and will have a lighter pedal I Rev it to 3800 to 4000 rpms racing. I launch at 3800 off the line. I guess if I don't like it I'll just call em back lol
