Well my parents just called and said lightning struck their alarm and camera system. They were a few miles up the road and the guy that watches over the shop called them and said that all the keypads were black. They got home and their closet smelled like smoke bad. They were lucky the whole house didn't catch on fire.

X2. We seem to get hit once every other year....normally it's our well pump and our phones. :spit:

Their house is up on a hill so something around them gets hit often. They had just gotten their camera system setup and running, that's the part that sucks. It took several weeks to get it running right because of the locations of the shop from the house and I'm assuming it will all have to get redone.
