got a 2005 LLY that is down and out. bought a 2003 LB7 truck with descent engine. and tranny. how hard would it be to install the LB7 in my LLY truck transmission and all. i have the complete donor truck so i have computers . i know everybody goes the oposite to what i want. but i can tell you ive owned 2 LLY trucks and both have been weak even with tuners and other mods

What happened to the LLY? If everything from the deck surface up survived why not swap the LLY top-end onto the LB7 bottom end and send it? The LLY platform is much easier to work on in the event of an injector failure.

it lost a lot of power and using oil . so use all the heads and injectors from LLY and just use short block from LB7.. what about wiring harness and transmission. the transmission is acting up also. its got 375,000 and transmision hasnt been touched on LLY

Look at the NSBU, if they're the same it's a direct swap. If not, there are a few slight differences like the cooler line fitting/fitting size and the lack of a g-trim solenoid (easy to rectify).
