Thinking of Colorado sometime this year. Maybe Fort Collins area. How is the job market in the State Overall? Any suggestions for other areas would be appreciated as well.

The econ is about average in Colorado. You would just need to explore around the area to find something. Also sometime you need to just find something till you get the chance to get back into your line of work. Some times your fortunate enough to find some thing you like better too. Landscape in CO. is tough to beat but home is always where the heart is. As they say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Vegas.... I was laid off in September and have heard nothing but bad news from my coworkers, they have actually been looking for work like crazy and have had no luck. It's tough out there right now in commercial construction. :(

Southern Indiana
There is a lot of construction work on southern Indiana. I am a supervisor for a decent sized company down here. We have a couple hundred million worth of work right now and they are talkin about building 2 more bridges across the Ohio river to Louisville. They are hoping we will be bonded out by then, somewhere around 1/2 to 3/4 billion. Surely there is something around here. And your would be in the "mecca" :thumb:

Charlotte area is nice. You get a lot for your money in real estate, weather is nice. I know the company I work for is looking for a certified welder for heavy equipment repair right now.

North Dakota
With your skills, Western North Dakota would be a great market for you. More work than you could ever want. I know welders that are turning down work because they are too busy.
