i have a 2004.5 lly stock turbo, with silverline exhaust, ppe tuner, s&d intake, diamond eye exhaust down pipe. What are some things i could do "cheap" on a military man's budget to make som noise out of my stock turbo. I am addicted to that noise. thanks

I have an 04.5 as well and you've done about all there is. You can tweak the turbo "sound" in EFILive a bit but that's about the only other thing you can do.
Maybe a different intake setup with an LBZ inlet would help performance but I don't remember any sound difference when I did mine. Oh, that reminds me, you can take the 6.6L thing off the turbo inlet and plug that hole, it might make a difference or at least a psychological difference.

do a stack, the you will hear lots of turbo noises ....turbo bark sounds cool and drone is not that bad .....
Actually my turndown is a bit louder then several of my friends with stacks. I think the echo effect helps alot
Run a front pipe only..... you like turbo noise ,that'll do it. Ask me how I know

We put an old ATS turbo kit on my buddys old 93 IDI F-350, downpipe only just because he got lazy and didnt bother him, plenty of turbo noise too be had:spit: Being an old high compression IDI diesel, it was loud!

Putting an exhaust back on though. Too much smoke and soot getting on the tailgate and back window. Looks like a bomb goes off under the truck everytime I romp on it....

If you put a 90 on the exhaust facing down you won't get any soot on your truck and you get the cool echo effect for sound. Check out this old video. Somewhere towards the middle there a good clip of my truck where you can see the exhaust. This is from back when it was big
