Is there a chance I could I get sued for working on a vehicle that I tore apart for a guy to do head studs and found it was a mess inside and had one piston crack starting and two others with signs of melting on them. he had me pull the head and when we found this he wanted it put back together. (I believe so he can trade it off) should I have told him to come get it in pieces when he didn't want to do a complete rebuild? should I have not put the head back on to get it running? engine also has a fair amount of blow by. huge amounts of sludge in the engine like the oil had not been changed. had stop leak in the radiator, just wanted to see what your thoughts are on this subject.

Kind of a crappy situation. I would have taken pics to cover your ass. Just for the sake of how could you ever warranty your work u did, when the rest of it looks like that?

I have all the pictures, all the text messages with his number at the top (delete the contact so his number shows up instead of his name) also screen shots saved of the texts and emailed them so the date shows up, and he said he will sign a waiver and work order.
