Hey guys, I was finally able to get a bunch of my little short videos compiled into one video. It's right at 20 minutes long, but shows how I was able to get a junk truck I picked up from a metal scrap yard running.
I'm not the best at videoing and working on stuff at the same time, so sorry for the goofy video lol.
This truck was at a scrap yard about to be stripped down and thrown in a huge pile. Friend of mine called me and said it may possibly have a good engine and transmission so I hauled butt over there to check it out. Long story short, I talked the scrap yard owner into selling the whole wrecked truck to me for a set solid price, and so I drug it home. We actually got two trucks like this one, but the other truck was in way better shape mechanically so it didn't take much time at all to get it running. This one however, threw me for a few loops.
It definitely earned its name, along with how I came up with that which you'll see in the video.
Got it going and sold it all to a friend who is now sticking a 54 (I believe) model chevy cab and bed on it. He's already shortened the frame and installed a lift on it. Looks pretty cool so far. If he sends me videos of it running after he's done, I'll add it to this thread.
Anyway, here's the video:
