A friend of mine wants to buy a stick shift LB7 but wants it to sound like my LBZ with a Danville stage two charger . Is anyone like fleece or danville making a VGT setup for the older trucks and what will he have in it .

You can get the turbo and then use the Fleece controller for the VVT.

Actually, it might be easier and/or cheaper to buy a LBZ and put a ZF-6 in it...

there is such a thing as an 06 LLY ZF-6 truck. super rare. but that'd be the cat's rear end for sure. kinda wish i had one :happy2:
I know I was looking for a 6spd lly but crew cab short beds are hard to find and when you do find them they wanta bunch of $$$$ for them . so I settled and the only reason he wants the variable turbo is for the sound so I told him I would check on the price for him .
I have a customer that's on here goes by Howe. He runs a 4094 vvt turbo I sold him and a fleece controller on it.

Probably should have gotten an interior shot for better proof But it had a busted flywheel...the dealer still let people test drive it even though the truck would make you sick after about a minute from the vibration...

Ha thats Rohrmans used lot on Teal road, across from the Alcoa plant, in good ole Lafayette. They dont usually keep "Good" trucks in inventory...

Yep lol. I called Brayden and asked him wtf was wrong with the truck because I had no clue they use a dual mass flywheel with the zf trucks and the balance rates weren't crazy bad for 140k on them.

to put a vgt on a lb7 u will need a down pipe, turbo and the controller! the part that cost the most is the turbo. but if sum1 is really interested in doin it i wud b more than glad 2 show them my setup it. It takes a little customizing but 2 b honest i love it u get the deep sound of the lb7 wit the whistle of the newer truck
Yeah the dmf in our trucks is a real pos!!! Mine is rattling like hell right now, but not for too much longer
