Spent the past few days removing, cleaning, and reinstalling my turbo trying to combat a stubborn P2565 code and a steady VPOS reading if 100%. It cost me about $300 In shop bay rental fees at the auto craft shop here at Fort Richardson to do it.
The vanes move freely now and there is no reason they should not be cycling.
I pulled the position sensor and pushed it with my thumb. The position swept all the way across the spectrum on my tuner. That was before I removed and reinstalled everything.
I still get the persistent P2565 and VPOS at 100%.
How do I verify its the solenoid not the sensor? I hate swap parts until fixed (SPUF) maintenance.
I am hoping there is someone in the Anchorage area with a tool that can command the solenoid and won't dig in my pocket for it.
