Good luck Josh. Did you guys swap out the rocker hold down bolts with harder ones?

Travis is good help for sure.:thumb:

We put in some 10.9 cat bolts. They have a 150000 psi tensile strength which I felt was more than enough for the aluminum they bolt to.

That was quite a job for sure. I had fun though.

Now I don't want to derail the thread or anything and not saying one product is better but what made you choose Hamilton over SoCal. SoCal is about $80 more but comes with more things. Hamilton also says theirs are made to fit which is why they are drop in replacements.

What style lash adjustment do our trucks use?

Thought about putting some springs in since I rev it pretty high in 4th gear. Not expecting much for power gains with a stock turbo but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to make sure valves arn't floating?

.012 but I do mine at .011 I dont see you gaining anything from these in a stock motor.

it is not even close to being worth it with a stock turbo. its a lot of work to do in the truck. it wouldnt be bad if the heads were off the truck but screw doing them in the truck unless you had to.
