Has any one used this style valve spring compressor for changing valve springs with out removing the heads? If so how did it work or is there a better tool to use?

Thanks for any info! Zak

I have. It was ok, but I actually came up with something else I liked better. I made a bracket that bolted into an injector bolt hole and a valve cover bolt hole that had a bolt sticking up out of the injector hole. Then I used a 24 valve Cummins spring compressor to compress all 4 springs at once. I don't have any pictures of it, but it worked way better than that tool.

I hate those. I use a napa brand valve spring compressor. The cheap one with the 2 little hooks and threaded rod.
