I remember seeing someplace that the valve lash for the Dmax is like 0.012". Is this a hot setting or a cold setting?

On that same note, are the cams from SoCal and Comp also lashed at 0.012"?

I used .010 on intake and .012 on exhaust. You will need to adjust and recheck several times while rotating the motor to make sure they are correct.

I heard a rumor that I haven't tried but heard .017-.018 Was good for about 50HP with big charger and stock cam:confused:. Anyone running that loose? Or tried this?

I would not try this, I would almost say or even bet at .015 the valve train would be noisy as hell.

The setting is .012..It's cold. Like most Dmax's are when you get the valve covers off.
I have ran them a little tighter at .09 or so. Just to get a little more lift.:D
New motors can get a little looser after being ran a while. So I set them on the tight side. If the motor has not had the heads off, I would set them @ .011 - .012...fwiw, regardless of the cam..........But then again, I break a lot of stuff......
