Ok sorry if this topic was made I was trying to find it, I really don't ask a lot of question forum wise. Well I get this vacuum sound/hair dryer sound from the exhaust and a rumble. I got a buddy that does custom tunes now if he can tune it to get it to rumble all the time with no vacuum/hair dyer sound will it hurt the truck? Or will I be good?
Thank you all please help! I have a 05 lly

The sound you're hearing is from the vanes in the turbocharger. When you hear it cycle at idle the vanes are opening and closing. You can set the max vain tables 0-15mm3 to 0-800rpm to 25%.

Even with the vanes set to open at idle like that they are still going to cycle at start up and after an extended period of idling. It is a feature designed to protect the turbo. If it didn't do a sweep occasionally we'd have just as much turbo trouble as the 6.0 powerstrokes do.

From what little bit I have read about it. You can tune it out with EFI Live but you will get some turbo lag. This is just what I have read. Don't take this as the gospel.
