Issues after updating to v8 software

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I updated my v2 with all the firmware and boot block stuff and everything worked, untill today I grab my v2 to check out a check engine light on my gasser and it is stuck in "dead poll" mode. Read through some threads at efi live forum and the found out to fix that was to power off (which I had already done several times) or reprogram firmware manually which it will not let me do.

I get $00c4 or $00c5 external flash erase error or external flash write error.

Anybody run into this or knows if it could be fixed?

Current boot block is 2,07,04
Current firmware is 2,07,39

Tried the lastest update but get same errors.

thnx idahorob for the reply, but this is exactly where i get the error msgs when i try to update the firmware and bootblock. i downloaded the last software update to v8 today just to see if that would make a difference but it didnt.

just to recap what i have done

several months ago i needed to tune my truck, the tune i got was built using the v8 software so i went through step by step and updated everything from software on pc to v2 bootblock and firmware, it was a process but i got through it. in the end i got all check marks saying everthing was up to date and ready to go so i went and tuned the truck successfully thinking "man i am glad i did all that and got it behind me"
bout a month later i had an engine light come on in my gasser so i went and grabbed my v2 to go read the code and when i plugged it up it has 2 amber lights flashing which i remembered from when i did the updates as "dead poll" mode. so thats where im at right now.

i guess i just want to know if this can be fixed or not before i buy another.
thnx

Try posting this over at EFILive's forum. They will be more likely to see it and provide assistance over there a little quicker. I'm sure it can be fixed, but you may have to send it somewhere.
