Using biodiesel as lubricity additive

I went by Down to Earth Energy in Monroe GA yesterday, and got 5 gallons of B100 and they gave me a quick tour of the plant. Most impressive and one heck of an operation. They have B100, B20, and B20 for offroad.
I got 5 gallons, as I am looking for an alternative to my beloved Opti-Lube, and I have found it!!
I added about a quart to 2 to my 3/4 full tank.
When I started it up this morning I was in shock at how quiet it was!!
Usually it takes a minute or two before it quiets down, but not with biodiesel.
I thought the Opti-Lube made it sound like a sewing machine in an oil bath, but compared to the biodiesel, whoa!
I will be using the 5 gallons as an additive and whenever I am in the area filling up on B20.
Bad picture, and from the back of the plant, but if you are in Georgia, give them a shot, I think you will be amazed at the difference it makes!

2 micron, and I have an airdog2 that is also 2 micron
I figure using it as a lubricity additive is economical, and so far the results have been stellar.

What do you mean "About fubard my injectors and fuel system"?
Opti-Lube tested far better than Power Service, just fyi, it was #2 and biodiesel was #1 :thumb:

Had what looked to be "shit" and water in the bottom of my fuel filters, and clogged both my 1 micron and 2 micron filters. Wouldnt go above 2800rpm.

Looks like the filters did their job! Also if you know anything about bio-diesel, it will act as a solvent and clean the entire fuel system as it travels through it. Most places require that you change the filters after a short time of running b-d because they will become clogged with the junk in the fuel system. Just like yours did. Doesn't mean the fuel was bad it just means you had a very dirty fuel system.

I run cheap trans fluid in my truck. Helps keep everything clean and oiled up. Just met a guy that lives about 5 miles from me and he makes his own b-d. Probably gonna switch over to that since its only 1.50 a gallon and he does all the work.

I ran 100% bio for a summer, only problem was if it got down to 40 degrees the stuff would gel up, other than that it ran great!

The problem was that I was running b100 for more than 6 months prior and its not my first time running it, so I know I got shit fuel.
