OK, so you shelled out 800 bones for EFILive and you loaded the tunes. Now your ready to put the V2 on the shelf, sit back and enjoy. WRONG! You can do all kinds of cool stuff with it. You wanna learn to tune yourself? No better way than data logging, but who wants to have the laptop sitting on the front seat? Need to flash a tune but forgot the computer at home? That's where the Black Box functions come in handy. Run down to Wally Martinez and grab yourself a 2gb SD card. When you get home follow the directions in this link.
Updating and setting up the Flashscan V2 to make full use of it. - Diesel Place : Chevrolet and GMC Diesel Truck Forums

Tanc crusher should be thanked many times over for compiling this info.

Within an hour or so I was able to customize my V2. Its really simple if you follow those directions. I did a cal flash and data logged without the laptop. The only problem I ran into was I didn't format the SD card and it wouldnt let me write to the V2. When you are setting it up make sure you press f4>f1>f1 on the V2 and change the file sys to SD after you format it the first time on Internal.

Now go get some use out of your tuning suite!

I figured this was worth re-posting.

Hey guys the title of this thread is USE YOUR V2 right, OK EFI Live can be used to tune Diesel rigs, Gas rigs, Sports Cars, SUVs.
That V2 sitting on the shelf that Chris spoke of, can help out your friends & family and if you so choose be an entrepreneur.
I have gotten an overwhelming response for this type of service because there are V2s just sitting around. If you
are not a tuner that's OK, your tuner can E-mail them to you.

Great link.

I'll admit I need to revisit the Black Box features. They have been improving since release. I still use a notebook for everything. When the BBL was released it had limited functions and support.
