I have a co-worker that is having car issues, and I was curious if I could use my scanner to see the DTCs on her car seeing as she has an OBD-II port. I figure I won't be able to, assuming that EFI only supports certain vehicles.

Is that assumption correct or will the scanner be able to display any DTCs?

PS: Car is a Hyundai Santa Fe

i think it will read generic OBD codes but not manufacturer specific. unless it is one of the supported GM or Dodge (Ram) vehicles

Yeah it pulled $0280, and I looked it up and read that its an injector issue. Nice to know it can pull something though.

Must be something they've added since I got mine. When I 1st got my V2 back in 09, it wouldn't as I tried to on my 00 Dosge Dakota I had at the time, just popped up an error message. Haven't tried since as I have a $100 actron that I bought when the V2 wouldn't do it.
