LLY: upper radiator hose collapsed when engine is cold

Fresh engine in my truck and noticed upper radiator hose is crushed (vacuum on cooling system) when I go out and check the oil before I leave in the AM engine not running and cold. Never noticed this before. Should the radiator cap allow air into system when cooling off.

Yeah, sounds like you need a new reservoir cap.

Not sure if you’re even still on this after 9 years but did the cap fix the issue ?

I don't think there's anything wrong with it my truck done it. Did you do something to the coolant system lately?

Clean the cap with soapy water, or replace it with a known-brand.
