Upgraded to the GT3788

I'm out of money anyone knows my story understands what I'm talking about, I was talking to a fellow that services the GT's, He said that they can upgrade the compressor wheel to a 2.6, the housing has to be machined of cause to receive the bigger wheel, is this possible, an is it cost wise, He didn't have a cost on the upgrade yet but I feel his an upfront person, Just wanting some imput.

Curious why did you go with that turbo with all your motor work. I would save up money if I were you and go a different route instead of putting money into that turbo.

Isn't that turbo VVT?

Long story, but I was screwed by a shop, that's all I've got to say on that,

Dino , i would ditch the 3788 all together , you can upgrade the comp side but the turbine is still a bit on the small side , especially for a fully built truck like yours . I would try selling it and stick something else on there , if i can get my install kit together i am working on, i might be able to get you into a S472 or S475 for around 2k ( hoping ) complete kit.

I like Trents idea expect you should give me the old turbo instead of selling it lol. I'm wanting an S475 when I get my engine alittle stronger.

My advice would be to be patient... ricers seem to run the GT37 so you might look into some of those forums to help you sell it... I had a hell of a time selling my 4094 but that's the way it goes. If time and funds allow I would wait for Trents suggestion he knows his stuff.
