some of you remember me having back to back knee surgerys on both left and right knees. 6/24 and 9/24 2007. as of april 7 2008 doc and i desided that though the surgerys did help and made life more cofortable i would not be fit enough for the Navy and it wasnt for me any more thus we and put in a package for a medical discharge under Hounorable conditions.

the Physical Evaluation Board results came back today. 20% disability, severance check and a medical discharge. so tomorrow @ 0730 i go in and sign the results and finish checking out. get my $ to move my house hold goods and what not.

so with in ~60 days i will be a civilain again for the first time in over 8 years 6 months.

the good thing about this. is
1 i can get some debt knocked out gettting closer to debt free goal.:baby:
2 get my truck up and running again :D
3 i will have a terminal date.. meaning i can actually bother to fill out aplications
4 take a real vacation

so that is what is going on with me.

mike some will go into savings ;)

happy.. kinda.. more relieved the process is basicly over and that i can now move forward in my life. my answer has been "IDK" for the better part of the last 20 months for questions, when you leaveing, getting out, staying in the area? etc.... haveing to do that when i have a good idea of what i want to do.. sucks balls getting offered a 60-100k job(s) and telling the employer(s) i dont know when i am getting out sucks balls. :(

anything higher then 20% from the navy would have resulted in more paper work BS

the VA Vetrens Affairs is looking at 30-40% (different yard stick between millitary and VA)

It's about time!
Having offers to turn down is alot better than not having offers to turn down...at least you know you won't be eating cat food or dumpster diving!
No bills and no one other than yourself to take care of is the best time to get out. That's what I did.
And
Welcome to the "real" world!:D

Congrates on the getting a set date for leaving. I did 7 years in the Army and also had both knees done...about 3 years after I ETS'd out of the service though. So now, I am running around with no medial cartilage in the left and right knees. I figure another 100,000 miles, and I'll need replacements.:D
