To update you need to

1) Unplug the RJ45 (OBDII) connection and the USB connector from the V2 interface.
2) With the USB cable connected to your laptop, hold down the CTRL key on the V2 interface while you plug in the USB cable to the V2 interface. You should notice that some of the LEDs on the V2 now toggle side to side.
3) Now open the firmware Utility
4) In the 'Update FlashScan V2:' section of the program click on the '...' button to locate the firmware file
5) Once you have located the file (above step) click on the 'Program' button. Sometimes the numbers do not go all the way - this is not a problem, it still continues in the background.
6) The FlashScan device will reboot on completion and the update is complete.[/color]

The update file is found in: Start/all programs/program files/efilive/

YOu also have an efilive folder in my documents, dont go there as the update file isnt there. Also be sure you have downlaoded the latest update from the EfI website.:D

Ok Im still having problems with this. every time I go in and try to update it the only file in it is fsprog_V2_4_47. I have removed efi from the computer completely and downloaded it from efi's site a bunch of times and still get the same thing  What the heck am I doing wrong? Am I supposed to update something else other than the main efi software?

Tried both ways couldn't get it to work either way. Larry Jewell emailed it to me and I got it that way. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I couldn't figure it out.

I wish I could help you there, I'm just barely smart enough to have sent you the correct file you were looking for though.

Glad you got it working.
