I have been getting pictures of this deer for 3 years now Im guessing he is a 5 or 6 year old, I finally got to see him last year chasing a doe after I had already tagged out on a 140 inch 10 point, So this year he is number 1 on my hit list opening weekend of bow season I got arrow in him tracked him for about 400 yards trail come up dry looked for him everyday for 3 days never found him.

Well 1 week after I shot him I got a picture of him again at my corn pile doing fine with huge hole in his neck infront of his right shoulder, well time has past velvet come off acorns are falling the deer became a ghost again well last weekend was our youth weekend I took my nephew to a cut corn field hoping to see a desent buck for him to get a shot at.

Well we set there for about 3 hours and we was getting ready to leave and here the non typical stepped out with two more 8 points just 50 yards away I was like holy shit shoot him well my nephew kinda had buck fever but he got a shot off and it looked like the buck got knocked side ways it hit him so hard.

Well we came home and give the buck 1 hour hoping not to push him if he wasnt dead, We picked up the blood trail real easy tracked the deer for about 300 yards found were he had bedded down blood everywere saw were he had got up and walked about 10 feet and spots of blood in about 1 foot circle then nothing looked the farm all over the deer is gone again its like he flys away and I couldnt believe he has gotten away once again.

Where do you hunt? Can't be far from me since I'm in central, KY too.

Nah seriously, where do you hunt though? And pics would be awesome. Sorry for the poor luck. Maybe black powder season will be your season!

I live in monroe county about 17 miles south from Tompkinsvile in a little area called Bugtussle lol your in better deer country than I am what hurts my deer herd is that I live right on the edge of macon county Tn were they can kill 3 bucks total and 3 does a day for the whole season, there is always 1 sometimes 2 bucks around here that will score in the 150's but everybody is always after the same one

looks like your herd is pretty healthy! There's definitely some nice deer in this area and all over the state really.

Good luck!! :thumb:
