New intake bridge, manifolds and up-pipes, and built trans.

We'll see how long my 230,000 mile head gaskets last. I'd give it 3 days tops. If I have to open her up, I'll do a short block with rods.

I'm building this to play in the stock turbo class when I dyno. I like going to the track every chance I get, but the closest one is 200 miles away, so this will mostly be a dyno queen. If I end up putting rods in it, I'll throw a 483 billet over the stocker and have some more fun.

I'm trying to make everything as efficient as possible to get the most out of the stock turbo. Every little bit of airflow makes a difference. :thumb: I'll try to eventually do a banks cooler and electric fans too. Custom Auto's doing the work for me. I like those guys and it's pretty pleasant since :happy2: left.

I've been laying low. I recently bought 20% of our family farm... so I was saving up for that. I miss my LB7 pretty bad still.....

I bought this truck for 12k about a year ago, and didn't really have a plan for it. My wife has been DD it since. Hopefully she won't make me powder coat the goodies under the hood pink! :rofl:

When it's all said and done with this round of upgrades, it will have up-pipes and mani's, LB7 style Y bridge and intake, 3" down pipe, max effort tuning, Built Trans, lift pump, and a freshened up rear end.

Mine would lock up when I was turning sometimes.... it was a mess.

Quick update: Got the transmission built and mani's-up-pipes on, but on hold till after DPC for the intake side of things.

It's crazy how much the manifolds and up-pipes changed the tone of the motor. This thing sounds amazing!!! The transmission is shifting really good. Thanks Shilo!

I'm not going to re-do the tuning until I finish the intake side of things. I'll post more as I get it done.

Yep you can it's a pita on the bolts in the back long 1/4 extensions are your friend

I got it out easy, now I need to find a nice Y-bridge and Custom intake for an 05 LLY. Who makes a good hotside pipe-Y bridge and "turbo horn" that all fit together nicely?

It was a little too close with my LB7 Y bridge. The clamp would hit when I put the mouth piece on.
