What was the deal for you??

I occasionally have gotten this code.. no real pattern to it... haven't seen it in quite a while but who knows if/when it will come back. Never caused any actual issues (other than putting the tranny into a mode similar to tow/haul)

U0100 code

My duramax recently threw a few codes U0100 lost com. w/ ecm/pcm module A.
P0700 trans control system malfunction
P0181 fuel temp sensor malfunction
P0116 engine coolant temp malfunction

I found a loose neg. cable at the left battery. Cleared the codes and that fixed the problem.

My truck is throwing up the lost comm ecm pcm and p0700 trans ctrl sys error.
I checked the negative battery cable thing and thats a no go. How do you test the fuel temp sensor.

I tightened up the pins on the TCM connector and I haven't seen this since. Might be worth playing with, also may want to look at the main bale connectors.... (i also cleaned and re-grounded the wiring for the abs module- the grounds that run to the frame under the driver, at the same time as tightening up the TCM connectors)

Hope this helps,

well I figured out the p0113, I forgot to plug in my maf sensor lol. Plugged it back in and tightened up my loose pass negative cable (yes I thought it was odd too that the other guy had a loose neg cable). Will need to start it in the morning to check and see, too late tonight, ain't nobody got time for dat.
