What are ya'll's opinion for trans shift points, looking for opinions for twins, but anyone's opinion on any turbo setup is welcome. Came up with this question based on another thread I saw about losing power in upper rpms...........with our stock cam being aimed towards power in the 3200 rpm range, is there a need to raise them?

i shifted at 3400-3600 without a lift pump i think with 2cp3 and a lift pump you will be able to shift 3600 and maybe higher to save that motor ;) BIG power low torque maybe 3800-4000?

3600 or so worked best for me in 1-3 , 4 and 5 I would kick it up to 3750 or so to stay away from the lower rpms / torque .

Also Larry check the phisical shif point because if you set the tcm to shift @ 3600 in 1-3 more than likely it will shift higher , it will probably need to be set around 3300 and you will get the shift at 3600 or so just an FYI and i am sure you already had it covered but .............................

Shift points

You will go faster with a higher shift point. Your turbo's will need to go a bit higher than stock. I would guess around 3600 or so. Have fun:hug:. Jeff

Larry I would say build three tranny tunes with various shift points and go to a TNT day to see how it works. Also watch to see at what rpm you start loosing boost. Running much beyond that will not benefit you in the long run. You can pick up some mph by running harder but you told me that its a DD for you so keeping it in good running requires be moderately conservative.
