I was just wondering if there is any problems with running twins when it gets to -40 or colder outside? Would it be wise to insulate the drain line from the big turbo to the oil pan? Anything else that should be done? Thanks.

It's already been -40 at my place. Saw -50 last winter.
that sux ya we saw -50 here in Edmonton last year too then you have to add the wind chill to that.
Any thing lower then -30 is f-n Cold you have a hard time breathing as the air will freeze your skin.
44* here and it is cold. With the wind chill it has got to feel like it is in the 30s

That would not be a bad idea, but I am not sure how much of a problem it would really be.
If you are that cold, I am assuming that you are using some sort of synthetic oil, and are NOT letting the truck cold soak, then starting it without being plugged in. I would think a synthetic should drain down pretty quickly.
Thats because our *50 has 80% moisture and feels like *10 without wind. Go to Alaska or somewhere with a - and you can ALMOST be in a tee shirt.
