I would take a look at an S475 or S480 over stock kit from your vendor of choice. There are quite a few different to choose from nowadays. MPI, SDP, and EPR just to name a few.

Are you planning on doing the install yourself? If not, your proximity to one of the above vendors may determine who you go with. From the sounds of the mods you have listed you're pretty much set up to slap a kit on it and make some changes to the tuning and haul ass.

If the only thing your tranny has done is a shift kit and a converter you may want to look into having that beefed up with a Suncoast kit or something of the like to hold up a little better to the added power and torque that will come with twins. It seems that the 6 speeds hold up to a little more abuse than the 5 speeds in near stock form, but if you're gonna unleash it on the track spending a little money on the tranny now will go a long ways in the life of your truck.

You might put out a request in the vendor jungle to see of someone can take care of all your needs and save you a little coin. Just a thought.

Watch the trAns. My lbz would limp the trans easy with just a stock turbo. When you beef the tranny you will have more tuning options

First:

Torque in excess of 1250ftlb can make your rods shorter.

Twins that use the factory charger make a LOT of torque when tuned up.

Twins also put you in a special class when sled pulling.

Sounds like a 66mm charger, ported FPR, and a 10lb nitrous bottle might fit your needs better.

In any case, your rods are your limit. If you want them to live, you need to make your HP at higher RPM than the factory 3200 peak for tuned LBZ's.

Sorry for the hijack but this info may be helpful to the OP. What is a good RPM for the LBZ? My truck shifts at 3200, sounds like I may be leaving a little on the table?
