Hey guys, im adding a s475 to my lb7 daily driver. I believe i have everything i need, but had a question. since this is my daily driver, i am planning on building a few parts on my days off and have it finished in about a week. can i mount the turbo and run oil lines to the turbo, and then make the intake pipe between turbos, relocate maf, and make an intake, but still run the truck? basically just having a useless turbo without the hotpipe done, in the engine bay for a day or so, but still be drivable?

Sounds like a bad idea.

Why don't you just make a section a little at a time but take it off after you've made it until you get a whole kit.

That way you don't have half a kit that doesn't work hooked up.

Keep the turbo mounted in there but if it were me I would remove the new cold pipe and put your intake back on if you drive it. I don't see it causing any major issues the way you described it beyond it might raise hell with your maf sensor readings. You might also get some oil seepage past the turbo seal since they need positive pressure.
