What size piping are you guys using for the Hot pipe and cold pipe? What type of material are you building them out of? Just thinking about custom making a kit. I will use a S300 for the small charger and probably a S480 for the big one. Any information would be helpful.

Seems 409 SS is the best option for the hot pipe. For the cold pipe, pretty much anything will work. Mild steel is the cheapest. Aluminum would be a good lightweight alternative.

3" for the hot pipe and 3.5" for cold. You could use mild steel or ss for the hot pipe, I used mild all the way around for the most part. This is a good place to get tubing and misc. parts from http://www.mandrel-bends.com/catalog/ they are priced the best I could find and good quality. The forms they have are really nice for the hot pipe. This is how mine turned out

I used mild steel on mine as well hot and cold. My cold pipe is only 3" since thats what I had at the time, Ill be making a new one out of 3.5" this winter though.

Hopefully my welding will be better this time.:D

can you coat both of them the same or no?

If you coated both of them with heat coating then it'd be the same. I think I'm going to use PPG industrial flat black on the intake, compressor housing and cold pipe, then take the turbine housing and hotpipe in to get some sort of heat coating.
