When a reTARD leaves the A/C on during a dyno pull, you lose 5 rwhp.
Gasser turn off the A/C at WOT. Our trucks don't.

I thought we could in the G0501 + tables

I only use it a couple times a year so havn't done any experimenting
I wish we needed A/C more ofton:baby:

Don't ask me how I know this:eek: but I know if you leave it on you will also lose 1 mph in the 1/4 mile

to have the best effect, turn it off at least 5 minutes before the event. The heat that continues to offload into the CAC, last for a while after. It is the same with pulling grades, at the higher speed it takes about 30 secs for the stored heat to be released into the air. The HP gain comes from a cooler CAC as well as the parasitic belt gain.

I guess you could kill AC in the table (and should) but it only adresses part of the problem. The stored heat still takes time to dump.

Pat we should put you on TV as the Duramax Mythbuster!

"...tune in next to see if turning off your air conditioning really improves you 1/4 mile times!"

C'mon Chris, time to keep it real. Where's the LBZ avatar??
Our tracks in Canada won't let us run A/C. Any dripping water and they shut ya down!!

So will ours if they notice  The last time I did it, it was hot out so the heater might have actually be on, since I had it on auto.
