I have read & read & read and quite frankly the amount of model numbers that are thrown out there completly boggle my mind. From what i can determine is there are several manufactures of turbos and then after market companys that modify original manufactures turbos. So before I bore everyone to death I am looking to be competive in a 2.6 pulling class, but there is a catch, of course there is a catch there always is. I still drive my truck i still haul stuff, i still pull a trailer, I like to play also, so the million $$$$ ? What turbos meet the 2.6 pulling class rules and are still streetable, also wtf is a batmowheel, I apoligize for my ignorrance in advance and appreciate all input, thank you

There are two big manufacturers of turbos (there are more but mainly two used in the Duramax world), Garrett and Borg Warner. There are countless shops that modify stock turbos. The BW turbos are much more popular to modify than the Garretts. Billet wheels and mixing different wheels and different housings (both compressor and turbine side) results in what seems like an infinite number of combinations. In order to determine what fits your rules, you need to know what the rules require for a turbo. Several organizations have gone to protrusion rules now which requires the compressor wheel to protrude into the 2.6" inducer section of the compressor housing, and many of them do not allow clipped wheels. The Batmowheel is a billet wheel made by Bullseye Power. There are mixed opinions on it, but I haven't heard anyone that runs one have much negative feedback.

Im out on all of the questions except the batmo wheel. A batmo wheel is a different designed billet compressor wheel that spools way quicker and moves more air than a conventional wheel.

SUPPOSEDLY. but idk if I actually believe it. Spooling faster... Yes. Just bc it's lighter. But pumping more air? Not sure I'm sold yet. There is a thread on here I read recently about a batmo on a stocker. Guy didn't pick up his $$ worth in ET. IMHO

More than likely i will jusy pull this coming season with my stock charger, I really enjoyed this past season, i really got the pullin bug, actully finshed pretty good in a few stock classes too. I am just trying to learn and understand, for future knowledge, thanx again, reddmaxLbz07 your link wont open for me

A bushing is an adapter that presses into a compressor cover in front of the compressor wheel that bushes the opening down to the correct size for whatever class you're running in. So, say you have a 3.0 inducer turbo. You would get a piece of pipe that has an outside diameter of 3.0 and an inside diameter of 2.6 and you would press it into the compressor cover so that it is just in front of the compressor wheel. That is what most of the pulling organizations are moving away from.

NADM turbo rules basically allow any size turbo but the cover muct be made with a 2.6 hole in it covering the wheel! heres a Billet75 behind a 2.6 cover.

Dustin at Diesel Addiction put a billet S475 on my truck about 6 weeks ago. The week before he installed a billet S475 batmo on a truck. Both trucks were 06 LBZ's with the same tuning. We talked about the difference and although he said they did feel different at the time he had no openion on which spooled quicker or had more power. It would seem to me that the Batmowheel would flow more having more surface area on the blades, but more surface area also means a little more material and weight which would lead me to believe that it would spool slightly slower than a standard billet wheel. I could have had a batmo but I chose the standard billet knowing it would flow plenty for my needs and "possibly" spool a touch quicker.

So on the link to trents page with the precision turbo, what are all the little holes for? Are they like a MWE grove or no?

The little holes are the inlet (or outlet depending on what it needs) for the MWE groove. They are there because the modified housing is opened up to the point where the opening in the cover and the stock MWE groove is not big enough to accommodate the inducer size being used. They have to weld up the stock opening then bore the cover to the desired inducer and drill new holes for the MWE groove.
