Long story short: buddy's truck just went through a whole debacle of getting his motor built, started with a generic shop quickly realized he needed to take it to someone who actually builds diesel motors. Anyway, got it all buttoned up and went to have it tuned, and the vane position was reading 100%. Looked at his sensor, looks a little chewed up so he goes to GM and gets a new one for $500. I take one look at the connectors and know he was given the wrong one. So in an attempt to narrow the problem, I swapped in a working one from another buddy's truck and now the vanes are showing 0%. I thought I read somewhere that they have to re-calibrated after you swap them? Any confirmations of this and/or a PN for the vane sensor for a 2005?
