I got my hands on a used turbo, supposed to be good working order but I was planning on using it for a core for a built turbo.

My thought is to get some goodies ready for the next dmax van:coolspot:, but if plans change it could be for my truck. Either way, probably not looking to break 500hp.

I see Fleece has a baby cheetah that might be an option.

Im sure Danville has some options too.

Any thoughts or other ideas?

Or is this stupid:angel:

Isn't the 4094 around $1900?

Unless my calculator is wrong, Fleece shows the Baby Cheetah at $1800, "included in price is $500 core charge" refunded when core is received. And included is DP which they list at $289. So around $1100 for just turbo build???

Not saying its the better deal, or the way to go.

Just asking questions and making sure I'm comparing apples + apples

The DI DP is 204 shipped by most places these days. Not sure what shipping is on the baby Cheetah I also sell those. but a stock turbo will make what your asking for. Pm on the way the MSRP went up on the 4094vvt so what I can sell for I can not post.

If I use it on the truck is it going to give lower egts towing as they claim?

If I put it on the next van, no point to it, just because I can and it'll be a tax write off :woott:

Edit. Thanks for the pm henry. I'll look at those

A friend with the 4094vnt is less than impressed with his for a work truck. It's apparently laggy like a fixed vain charger? Maybe his tuning just blows that bad but he's got tuning from a widely looked up to tuner. So IDK? He says it's only appealing at WOT.

I had the 68mm Cheetah and if you can handle the whistle which was fun at first but grew to irritate me it's a good charger so I'm sure the Baby Cheetah would be great as well. But kind of agree that for what you're looking for you could stick with the stock turbo and do an aftermarket downpipe and intake...if you've already done that stuff then I guess an aftermarket charger is for you but for your needs I don't see it being worth the $$...could also do up pipes/manifolds to help the stock charger instead of a turbo...just food for thought
