When I put on my banks air intake, I ahd to remove the resonator on the top of the engine. There is a metal'shroud over the turbo that the back side of the resonator mounted on. Is that a necessary piece of metal or can I take it off. If I can take it off, is it easy? Thanks!

Are you talking about the heat sheild for the turbo? If so I would just leave it on, not gonna gain anything by removing it.
