gonna go with an S400 or GT42 size? IIRC the Spruils took a GT4202 and a piss load of nitrous into the 9's

Not sure Nick. You know I love that damn spray, so I'm just researching ideas to see what will work best for me.

IMHO I would go with a smaller easiy to spool turbo and a good size wastegate so you can spray the ever living hell out of it! At least for what you do.:thumb: That way it would still be fun to street drive and not be a lag pig.

Sorry to see it, Matt. But look at it this way....you ran the absolute dogpiss out of that turbo for over a year and it took everything you threw at it. You still had one hell of a run.

I have some ideas for a 3.0 turbo that would have you in the 10s on motor and would be straight nasty with a wastegate and bottle.
Or you can always go bigger than 3".......

So many choices when it's not your only DD, tow, and race truck in one.

Nice run Matt... You guys have it dialed in or were you still working on shake down runs? I would put that turbo in a display case and mount it in the garage :D Good luck on your search for a turbo.

Thanks for the input guys. I really like that quick spool. If I decide to just wastegate a small turbo, do you think a true stocker is the most reliable??

I only had time for one drive down the street Thursday night, and then left for BG Friday morning. So I babied it on my first pass and then had to qualify, so I sprayed conservitive on second and that was it.

You can always get a custom turbo tailored to your needs such as a small exhaust housing (for quicker spooling) and a slightly larger compressor housing and wheel. And heck if your spraying a bigger charger shouldn't be a problem cause from what I've seen you can spray and light it just as fast as a stock charger:thumb:. You can talk to a couple of vendors and i'm sure they can custom make you one.
