I did the Hunting for horsepower dyno this weekend and placed first in the large single turbo class @ 820 horse on one run. with this fleece charger I'm running at that power level its not cleaning up the smoke anymore. fleece claims good for 950. I'm thinking not. has anyone made 950+ on a large single on fuel only? its is pretty drivable on the street and spool's good now that I fixed the exhaust leak. I have Mikes old gt5541R and plan to run that soon but I need some help with valley charger selection and whether to keep the 471 or ditch it and try something new. I didn't really want to goto compounds due to being able to actually place in a large single class but I guess its time. I have a quote from werhli for the compound kit and will pull the trigger on that soon butI need to decide what I'm going to do with the valley charger before I order the kit.

Yeah I remember that. well I have good rail pressure and good tuning. 56 psi of boost and it runs good but its not laying down the power and no cleaning up the smoke. 1100Us was hazing still, and 1200Us was black through the run.

Whos injectors? Some times less is more.. Matt is still running well under a 300% injector with his current setup..

Made 948rwhp with a double batmo s480/87/1.10 bushed to 2.6 with a .250 mwe in 2012/2013 winter. Just 80% nozzles on stock injectors and dual stock pumps. Spend a few hours dialing it in and that was the best run.

Hmmm well not sure what to try next other then throw the compound on it. I maybe just have to trailer to drp and use their dyno and try some things once that is on there.

Too large of an Injector will hurt HP in the 3.0 smoothbore dynoing, I have heard that from multiple people... With your 71mm and short duration, I'm sure it's hurting your setup...but add that 5541 and hold the F*** on!!!

I dynoed 1252hp at the wheels with a Precision 3.0X3.6 single, 150 injector's, 2 10mm pumps. I'm sure it would be a laggy turd on the street tho.

What are the specs on the 471? You could keep it and buld the compound kit around it. If you don't like he results swap to a 475/87. I'm no big time racer or big time power maker (lol) but in my opinion you really want the 87 turbine in the valley turbo.

That 5541 is a fun turbo, wait till you pass someone as you are just drivng down the road the look they give is priceless..

now I have to decide what color to go with. the comp housing on the 55 is polished. (thanks Mike diesel) I have blue now but want something different. thought about that chrome powder coating. but idk.
