Turbo Saying Goodbye?

For the past few months of running my truck, I've been hearing a weird air noise when I romp on the truck. Im not sure if its the turbo, or maybe an IC tube. It sounds like its on the drivers side of the truck. Its hard to describe the noise itself. Maybe someone on here knows what i'm trying to say. Thanks all!!!

check the boost tubes for leaks. most likely the driver side IC tube to IC boot

I have the same issue

I have removed and replaced boots lots of times and it still makes noise. i may remove my AFE boost tube and throw the stocker back on to see it it goes away.

Thank you!!! Someone out there has the same noise!! Its hard to describe isnt it? Thanks for a direction point tho guys!! Whenever the weather breaks from rain, I be checking that IC tube. I kinda thought that, but its not weak on the power climb. Thats what made me wonder.

If its a small leak it probably wont hurt power much also do you Just here it while giving it some throttle or at all times

On edit: when did the noise appear? Was It after the pro Fab intake horn causeethey sound way different with those cause of the bleed ring being able to work right

It only does it when i get on it. Just cruising around i dont hear a thing. Its only when im in the turbo i hear it

When I changed airhorns it changed the turbo whistle to more of a hiss

Wish i could agree but im sure it made the same noise befor the horn too. I'll do some checkin on the IC tubes before i'll settle.

Pressure test the whole works first. Could even be a hole in the IC!

Well boost leaks I dont care what your running you will here a hiss, whine, whistle, ect...even at idle(at least that's been my experience) not just under throttle it will be alot louder under load an throttle so something else could be causeing this perhaps

Found the problem. My IC tube on the drivers side suffered from excessive rub from the ps line. I cleaned off the pipe last nite and felt it. yippy!!!! Time for aftermarket parts!!! :happy2:

On my truck the noise is not existent at stock power levels.

The higher I turn it up the more the noise is made? I have to take the pipe off tonight and inspect clamps and the pipe.

I had a re-occuring leak at an ic boot. Cleaned it up with carb cleaner. Hit it with a little hairspray and clamped it down. Just an idea.

The noise i have been hearing was even at stock power. It was just a faint air noise. Hopefully a new ic tube will help. Hope nothing else is wrong.
