damn, I never knew it was a grand?

IIRC, EFI Live said they could make this easily but since Brayden had started marketing it and running with it, they didn't want to c*ck block him or cut his throat on this. I'm guessing it intercepts the boost sensor and skews the boost/vane tables based on resistance in the box dependent upon knob position. Seems easy enough if that's all it does. Not sure what else it can do beside manipulate the boost/vane position tables.

One of the key issues is that the TCC needs to be locked, this is why the TurboBrake comes with the TCC control as well.
I am sure is you played with vane position and boost at 0 to 5mm³ at higher rpms you could achieve something similar.

I wrote a tune for my LBZ that acted just like that. The only difference was that you couldn't turn it off or change it on the fly. At 0mm3 in the boost and vane tables boost increased and the vanes closed. Worked pretty good.

Just curious, how do they do this?

PWM driver circuit. Easy to make the driver, but fooling the TCM and making it think it still has TCC control is the tricky part.

basically just need a 555 timer, 7805 voltage regulator, and a couple other parts from radio shack. Not much more than 20 bucks in parts total.

tow/haul doesnt always lock the converter "right away". :(

When you go WOT, even tho in programming, it says to "lock the converter at 25mph in second gear", sometimes the TCM freaks out and doesnt actually lock the converter until 3rd gear or at the best, top of second gear. This is wasted power, WOT with big power and an unlocked converter.

Ben thanks for posting that it makes sense to me now on why most people like a co pilot. I have always thought if the Torque converter locked in 2nd gear why waste your hard earn money. I no the co pilot does more then lock the converter in i beilve it also increases line pressure but cant efi live increase line pressure??

Seems like with smaller tunes, it'll lock consistently...With bigger tunes, sometimes it does, sometimes it won't...

A 555 timer isn't going to allow you to "trim on" the TCC solenoid. Unless you're going to use a potentiometer and some sort of RC circuit to control the pulsewidth, but that is something you would have to do every time you want to apply it.. Manually.....

There are 14 wires on a TurboBrake coming and going towards the engine compartment.. Boost sensor fooling isn't going to cut it..
