I always go through the wheel well. Use a 12mm 12 point socket. Going through the well well you can get a breaker bar on them.

This^^

I have a 36" 1/2" snap on flex head rachet and a couple variations of 12mm 12 point sockets.

Pull the down pipe out and there's a lot of room. Take the up pipe completely off.

I got both from the passenger side. I took both wheels off and then lowered the jack all the way down to the rotors. Make working in there much easier imo.

The drivers side up pipe can be a pain. I used multiple swivels and went in there by the oil filter if I remember correctly

do I need to go from both fenders wells ? or only from the pass side ? and remove the pass side pipe completely ?

Yes remove pass side completely.. If you'll just loosen the manifold side of the driver side you can do it. But at that point you might as well take it loose. You can get the driver side from under the truck. You can get it through the driver fender as well but it's easier to me under the truck with my air gun and 12mm Impact wobble socket

When I swapped my turbo I got all the up pipe bolts into turbo from the passenger side fender well. Get the drivers side up pipe out completely and you can see th passenger side pretty easy

in the buckeye state
Can be reused.
Put light coat of anti seize on the tip of the bolt threads. Run everything in with nothing there will make assembly/disassemble easier.. stuff usually comes with a 1600° temp rating

Also loosen the bracket for the trans dipstick it will give you some extra room for the down pipe

It's not bad. I left mine attached to the turbo when I pulled it and attached it to the new turbo before setting turbo in. It's just 2 bolts that are right underneath the up pipes right by the top of trans.

way easier to leave the supply line attached to the block, unbolt from the turbo and just use a bungy to hold the line back when you pull the turbo.

Wait what? How in the hell do you get the bolts in and out?
