Turbo and Meth together?

I have a friend that is looking into getting both a larger charger and water/meth system for his LBZ. I was thinking that i read somewhere on this site that you shouldn't combine the two together. The reason being that it makes you more prone to cracking a piston. Is this true or am i getting information confused. And i have tried researching and have found nothing. Thanks in advance.

I think you're thinking of nitrous. High boost, high EGTs, and nitrous can cause aluminum to burn. Pat has posted he thinks that is what damaged a couple of sets of pistons in Casper.
