i am going to try out my buddies 28" m&h drag radials next weekend after i test a few runs on my toyos . anyone know what the vss tire revs for the M&H are for the tcm tune ? And if you didnt change it how much did it change your rpm for your shift points my current tire size is 30.5 in tall ? want to have a tune ready to flash for a few test runs to see how they do on my truck , if i like them i am going to buy them from him .

I was also wondering what things in a tune need t be changed to compensate for tire size change? I know there are things in the ECM and TCM but not sure what is all to it. Do I need to change all the shift points in my trans tune?

i did the simialer thing when i went form 265s to 315..

there are two shift points int he tranny RPM and MPH

RPM needs to be higher then you MPH at WOT shift. if not you will me limited by the rpm wot shift point... till you get ot the thottle.. and it shifts.

currently mine still thinks it has 245 on the truck..
example 4-5 WOT is 75mph in the tune in reality is 96mph which is just under ~3500rpm with 315s

technically the tcm wouldnt know the difference....much like changeing dif gears. loggs would be off though.

my current WOT @ 3400-3500rpm
1-2 29mph
2-3 58mph
3-4 68mph
4-5 96mph
im probly going to back 4-5 down to 90mph seams to lay over right before it shifts

i dont care if the log is off just as long as the shift still happen at the same rpm ? right now i have the shifts set perfect just not shure if it will change . i am actually racing so i wont have alot of runs for R&D i will get 2 runs for dial in wich will be done on my toyo's just to test the mods i just put on and then race brackets on the slicks so if i loose the first race i wont get another run . i have never dropped that much tire size between runs no shure what to expect .

Let me know how they work, im going to purchase some drag tires too.

will do as long as i get enough runs to test them :D

What kind of rims are on the M&H's? Can you use your stock rims?

When I was running my LMM with the Nitto DRs I didn't adjust anything from stock 245s to the 305/45/18s and it ran slower. I was having other issues so maybe it was that but not sure... I definitely think tuning changes are necessary.

I need to get one more to replace one I blew and do more testing... Might just get some M&Hs though.
